Beach Star

I guess I might as well post a tid bit of some of the things I've got in the works. Don't judge this song by what I got so far, it's no where near finished and the message will be more clear when I'm done. Hopefully people like it so far, any ideas just tell me.

Beach Star

Empty shell of a boy,
Sitting on the beach,
Water lapping at the world,
Light out of reach,

Stars pinpricked the skys,
Giving inspiration,
To many,
Across generations

The light of the sun did dim,
Letting the stars glow bright,
As a star fell from the sky,
Sand buried the light

The boy picked it up,
To experience its glow,
What happened next,
He did not know

The stars light,
Faded in his hands,
Turned to dust,
Mixing with the sands.

Chorus:

Lights that shine only,
When in the night,
Always they are bright,
Even without sight,
We are never without a light

Yellow Line

This song, it's really kind of obvious what it's about. When we are stuck in between choices, some times we simply stall for time and never commit. We try and walk that line where everything will be ok, but eventually you will have to decide but either choice is just as dangerous...This song is the first one Alec and I hope to create together (hopefully it wont be the last) and if it really does come to life, I will be blown away. This song is something that means so much too me...

Yellow Line

Walk alone, stand on the line but never let go.
As we walk this path in between such danger,
everything seems blurred,
and all gets so much stranger.

As the death of metal swoops by on each side,
this yellow line is all that keeps me alive,
because I simply can’t decide.

Torn between choices,
each as dangerous as the last,
traffic on either side,
trying to escape from the past.

As the death of metal swoops by on each side,
this yellow line is all that keeps me alive,
because I simply can’t decide.

(increase tempo)

Take a chance and jump into traffic,
which side is safer?,
either way might be tragic…
Walking this line is all that keeps me safe,
I have never truly decided,
walking this line,
I am purely divided.

(instrumental solo)

(decrease tempo)

As the death of metal swoops by on each side,
this yellow line is all that keeps me alive,
because I simply can’t decide.

As the death of metal swoops by on each side,
this yellow line is all that keeps me alive,
because I simply can’t decide...

So I jumped...

(decrescendo out)
